Sevilla’s coach, Garcia Pimienta, has praised Chidera Ejuke for his outstanding performance in their 1-0 win against Real Sociedad on Sunday night.
Ejuke scored the only goal of the match at the Reale Arena in the 47th minute after receiving a great pass from captain Saul. His goal helped Sevilla secure all three points in a tough away match.
This was Ejuke’s second goal of the season. The winger had been in great form before suffering an injury that kept him out for nearly three months. Now back in action, he made an immediate impact for his team.
Pimienta was pleased with Ejuke’s contribution, not only in attack but also in defense.
“Ejuke was playing really well before his injury. He was out for almost three months, and it’s not easy to regain top form after that,” Pimienta said in an interview with Sevilla’s official website.
“He got his chance and performed brilliantly. He also helped the team defensively, which was very important. We are very happy for him.”
Ejuke’s return is a big boost for Sevilla as they continue their LaLiga campaign. Fans will be hoping for more match-winning performances from the Nigerian winger.
