FIFA President Infantino confirms 2026 World Cup final will have half-time show

FIFA President Gianni Infantino has announced that the 2026 World Cup final will feature a half-time show for the first time in the tournament’s history.

The World Cup final, set to take place in New York/New Jersey, will include a performance during the break, similar to the Super Bowl tradition. The show will be organized in partnership with Global Citizen.

Infantino also shared that Times Square will be part of the World Cup celebrations during the final and the third-place match.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be hosted across 16 cities in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The addition of a half-time show aims to enhance the experience for fans watching the biggest football event in the world.

“This will be a historic moment for the World Cup,” Infantino wrote on Instagram, promising a show worthy of the occasion.
