Rivers State Governor, Sim Fubara, has said he is not afraid of anything, adding that the worst that can happen is leaving office.
He made this statement on March 3, shortly after the Supreme Court reinstated 27 members of the Rivers State House of Assembly who are loyal to former Governor Nyesom Wike.
Speaking at the commissioning of the newly reconstructed Rivers State Government House Staff Quarters, Fubara acknowledged that many people in the state were discouraged by the court’s decision. However, he urged them to stay strong and prepare for what lies ahead.
The governor reminded the people that feeling concerned about the judgment is natural, but they should trust that God’s plan will come to pass. His remarks suggest that he remains confident despite the political challenges in the state.
