Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has shared his opinion on the debate about Mohamed Salah’s place among the greatest players in Premier League history. According to him, the Liverpool star is not the best to ever play in the league.
Salah is having an outstanding season with Liverpool, scoring 25 goals and providing 16 assists in just 27 matches. The 32-year-old also played a key role in Liverpool’s recent victory over Manchester City, helping his team stay ahead in the title race.
His impressive performances have led many fans to discuss whether he is the best player in Premier League history. However, when asked about this debate, Ferdinand disagreed and named two players he believes are ahead of Salah.
“No chance,” Ferdinand said on TNT Sport. “He’s not ahead of Thierry Henry and Cristiano Ronaldo.”
Henry and Ronaldo are both legends of the league, with Henry dominating during his time at Arsenal and Ronaldo winning multiple trophies with Manchester United before moving to Real Madrid.
While Salah has been exceptional for Liverpool, Ferdinand believes these two strikers still rank higher in Premier League history.
What do you think? Does Salah deserve to be considered the greatest, or do Henry and Ronaldo have a stronger case?
