Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has spoken highly of Barcelona coach Hansi Flick ahead of their Copa del Rey semi-final clash. The match will take place today, Tuesday, at the Montjuic Stadium.

Atletico Madrid won 2-1 the last time they faced Barcelona this season. However, Barcelona is aiming for their second trophy this season after winning the Supercopa de España.

While speaking to the media, Simeone praised Flick for the positive impact he has had on Barcelona. He believes Flick’s coaching has strengthened the team.

“I think the key to this Barcelona team is the coach. He knows how to communicate his ideas to the players. Flick’s arrival has been very good for the team.

We have a game plan, and we will discuss it with the players before the match. Barcelona has a solid defense with a high line,” Simeone said.

He also admitted that playing against strong teams like Barcelona can be tough. “In matches like this, there are difficult moments. You have to be ready to suffer, just like against Real Madrid. A game has both good and bad moments, and you need to handle them well.”

The winner of this semi-final will face either Real Madrid or Real Sociedad in the final.
