The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has selected Nigerian officials to handle the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) qualifier between Ethiopia and Uganda.
Experienced referee Patience Madu will lead the match as the center referee. She will be assisted by Nigerian officials Abibatu Iyaduni Yusuf (Assistant Referee 1) and Mfom Friday Akpan (Assistant Referee 2). Hannah Eliagwu, also from Nigeria, will serve as the fourth official.
South African official Deide Camil Zealand has been assigned as the referee assessor, while Christine Mukanboka from Rwanda will take on the role of Match Commissioner.
The second leg of the first-round clash will be played at the Abebe Bekila Stadium in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, next Wednesday. Uganda heads into the game with an advantage, having won the first leg 2-0 in Kampala on Friday.
Football fans are eagerly waiting to see if Ethiopia can turn the game around or if Uganda will maintain their lead to progress further in the competition.
