Omowunmi Aloba, the wife of late Nigerian singer Mohbad, has said she is facing intense bullying, especially from her father-in-law, Joseph Aloba. She claims he is pressuring her and turning people against her because he wants a DNA test for her son, Liam.
Speaking on TVC’s Your View, Omowunmi said she has nothing against taking the test but is unhappy with how her father-in-law is handling the situation. “Right now, I am the most bullied widow in Nigeria,” she stated.
Omowunmi also shared that she and Joseph Aloba had a good relationship before Mohbad’s death. She revealed that he had encouraged her and her late husband to have a child even when they were not ready, using fasting and prayers to persuade them.
Mohbad passed away on September 12, 2023. Just a day after his death, his father buried him in Ikorodu, Lagos State. Due to suspicions surrounding his passing, his body was exhumed on September 21 for an autopsy.
The autopsy results have not been released yet. However, Joseph Aloba insists that his son’s body will not be reburied until the results are out and a DNA test is done to confirm Liam’s paternity.
