15 arrested for internet fraud in Abuja

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested 15 people suspected of internet fraud in Abuja, the capital of Nigeria.

The anti-corruption agency announced the arrest on Tuesday through its official X account. According to the EFCC, the suspects were apprehended at Amax Apartment in Guzape after investigators received reliable information linking them to online fraud.

During the operation, officials seized a Toyota Highlander with a customized number plate (BORNO AAA) and several mobile phones.

The EFCC stated that the suspects have provided useful information and will be taken to court once investigations are complete.

The commission continues to warn the public against engaging in fraudulent activities, emphasizing its commitment to fighting financial crimes in Nigeria.
