Ukrainian President Zelensky draws red line for Trump, Putin

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has made it clear that he will only meet Russian leader Vladimir Putin under one condition—after first agreeing on a common plan with former US President Donald Trump.

Speaking at the Munich Security Conference, Zelensky stressed that Trump plays a key role in ending the Russia-Ukraine war. He also revealed that Trump had given him his direct phone number before the conference.

Earlier this week, Trump’s conversation with Putin caused a stir, as it appeared to disrupt the long-standing US support for Ukraine.

This has raised concerns about a possible change in America’s stance on the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

Zelensky’s statement highlights the growing importance of US involvement in peace efforts, as Ukraine continues to seek strong international backing.
