The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has successfully intercepted a large shipment of illegal arms and ammunition being smuggled into the country.

The exact value of the weapons has not been disclosed yet.

Adewale Adeniyi, the Comptroller-General of Customs, has arrived in Lagos to speak with the press about this major operation.

He is expected to address the public at the Federal Operation Unit (FOU) Zone “A” in Ikeja, Lagos.
