Guardiola tells Man City to sign De Bruyne’s replacement ahead of Arsenal, Real Madrid

Pep Guardiola Wants Man City to Sign Florian Wirtz as De Bruyne’s Replacement

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is urging the club to sign Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen.

Guardiola sees the 21-year-old midfielder as the ideal replacement for Kevin De Bruyne, whose contract will end this summer.

According to reports from Bild, Guardiola considers Wirtz his “dream player” and hopes to secure him as a long-term option for Man City.

Although the club is interested in signing Wirtz in the upcoming transfer window, Bayer Leverkusen is not willing to sell him before the season ends.

Wirtz, who is also a target for Arsenal and Real Madrid, has been outstanding for Bayer Leverkusen.

He played a major role in their league and cup victories last season and has continued his strong performance this year, with 15 goals and 12 assists so far.

His current contract with Bayer Leverkusen runs until 2027, meaning any deal will likely come with a significant fee.
