Carlo Ancelotti, manager of Real Madrid, gave a strong warning to his players during the half-time break in their 1-1 draw with Atletico Madrid on Saturday.
The team was losing 1-0 after a penalty from Julian Alvarez, but Kylian Mbappe quickly leveled the score after the break.
Ancelotti was unhappy with the first half performance, particularly from his attacking players – Vinicius Jr, Kylian Mbappe, and Jude Bellingham.
These three players were often found in the same spaces on the field, making it difficult for the team to attack effectively.
In his half-time talk, Ancelotti made it clear that he would substitute his attackers if they didn’t improve quickly.
He specifically told Vinicius to stop moving into the middle of the pitch from his usual position on the left.
This area was already crowded, with Mbappe and Bellingham occupying it. Mbappe was the main striker, while Bellingham was supporting him in midfield.
This warning came after a first half where the three stars struggled to find their rhythm. Despite the tension, the team stayed on top of the LaLiga table with 50 points, just one point ahead of Atletico Madrid.
