Ondo Amotekun rescues 75-year-old grandma raped by kidnappers

The Ondo State Security Network Agency, also known as Amotekun Corps, has rescued a 75-year-old woman who was kidnapped and assaulted in Ifira Akoko, Akoko South-East Local Government Area of Ondo State.

The elderly woman explained that she was returning from her farm when three men approached her.

“As soon as they saw me, they grabbed my hands and dragged me into the bush. One of them forcefully removed my clothes and assaulted me,” she said.

She expressed confusion about how she was rescued but recalled that Amotekun officers responded to her cries and saved her.

While presenting the suspects in Akure, the state capital, Amotekun also paraded other criminals, including a group accused of kidnapping 18 passengers on the Akure–Owo highway.

One of the victims shared her ordeal:
“They forced us out of the bus. A Fulani man held my neck, dragged me into the bush, and after struggling for about 20 minutes, he tore my clothes and attacked me.”

The Commander of the Amotekun Corps, Akogun Adetunji Adeleye, assured the public that the suspects would be taken to court as soon as investigations were completed.
