America’s Russia-Ukraine envoy ‘preparing ‘end of war’ options to present to President Trump’

The U.S. envoy for Russia-Ukraine matters is working on options to help end the war. Keith Kellogg has informed U.S. allies that he is drafting plans to present to President Donald Trump.

However, he denied reports that he would present a proposal at the Munich Security Conference this week.

Previously, Bloomberg reported that U.S. allies expected the Trump administration to share a plan in Germany, but this has not been confirmed.

On Sunday, Trump told reporters on Air Force One that he believes progress is being made toward ending the conflict.

Trump has often said he wants to stop the war and is open to meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

However, there is no official date or location for such a meeting. The Kremlin has not confirmed whether the two leaders have spoken about a peace deal.

When asked if he had spoken to Putin since becoming president on January 20, Trump said, “I’ve had it. Let’s just say I’ve had it… And I expect to have many more conversations. We have to get that war ended.”

U.S. National Security Advisor Mike Waltz also mentioned that Trump might use sanctions and tariffs to pressure Russia into negotiations.

Putin has previously stated that any peace deal would require Ukraine to recognize Russia’s control over four regions in the east and south, including areas not fully controlled by Moscow. Additionally, he insists that Ukraine must give up its goal of joining NATO.

While Putin is reportedly open to discussions with Trump, he has ruled out making major territorial concessions.

The situation remains complex, but discussions are ongoing as efforts continue to find a resolution to the war.
