Nigeria police arrest murder suspect in Lagos, recover exhibits

The Nigeria Police Force has arrested a man named Okeke Johnchris for allegedly killing another man, William Wisdom, after an argument in Ikoyi, Lagos.

According to police spokesperson Muyiwa Adejobi, the two men had a serious disagreement, which led to violence.

During the confrontation, Okeke reportedly hit William with his Lexus car, causing severe injuries. William was rushed to Gbagada General Hospital but sadly did not survive.

Police detectives visited the crime scene, and William’s body was taken to the IDH Morgue in Yaba for an autopsy.

Okeke was arrested and is currently in police custody as investigations continue.

Adejobi urged people to avoid violence and settle disputes legally instead of taking matters into their own hands.

In another case, police arrested a suspected hoodlum named Wisdom Obi at Abule Ado bus stop along the Lagos-Badagry Expressway.

He was found with an unregistered motorcycle and a brownie pistol hidden inside an MP3 radio. The police also recovered 13 rounds of live ammunition from him.

Additionally, four suspected traffic robbers were arrested in Orile Iganmu. The suspects, identified as Kadir Ibrahim, Ifeanyin John, Oduwole Shola, and Rilwan Olajuwon, were caught trying to rob passengers of a broken-down vehicle. They are now in custody while investigations continue.

The police have warned Nigerians to stay away from crime and report disputes through legal channels. Law enforcement officers continue to work hard to ensure safety and security in Lagos.
