Former President Muhammadu Buhari has said that Nigeria’s security and economy improved during his eight years in office.

He made this statement on Wednesday, February 5, while speaking to journalists from the Katsina State Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigerian Union of Journalists at his home in Daura, Katsina State.

Buhari looked back at his time as president and mentioned the many challenges he faced when he took over from the previous government in 2015. He pointed out that security issues, such as terrorism, and a struggling economy were major problems that needed urgent attention.

He stated, “Nigeria’s security and economy improved significantly under my administration compared to what we met in 2015.”

The former president expressed confidence that the country would continue to progress and benefit from the improvements made during his leadership. He added, “Things will continue to improve in Nigeria.”
