President Tinubu Signs North-Central Development Commission Bill Into Law

Nigeria’s President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has officially signed the North-Central Development Commission (NCDC) Bill into law. This move is expected to boost development in North-Central Nigeria, especially at the grassroots level.

The NCDC is a new government agency created to support development in North-Central Nigeria. Its main goals include:

  • Improving infrastructure like roads, schools, and hospitals
  • Boosting economic growth and creating jobs
  • Addressing security challenges in the region
  • Enhancing the quality of life for people in rural areas

The signing of the bill was confirmed by Senate President Godswill Akpabio on Tuesday during a Senate session. He emphasized that the commission will play a key role in tackling the region’s challenges.

With the establishment of the NCDC, communities in states like Benue, Kogi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger, and Plateau will benefit from increased government support. The commission will work on projects that will improve the lives of people in the region.

President Tinubu expressed confidence that this initiative will bring meaningful development to the grassroots, ensuring a brighter future for the North-Central region.
