Marcus Rashford completes loan move to Aston Villa after leaving Manchester United

Marcus Rashford has made a move from Manchester United to Aston Villa on loan, ending his time at United for the rest of the season. The 27-year-old England international underwent a medical on Sunday night before finalizing the deal. The transfer came after Rashford fell out of favor with Manchester United’s manager, Ruben Amorim.

Aston Villa was quick to confirm the signing, welcoming Rashford on loan for the season. The club also highlighted his 60 appearances for the England national team, making him a valuable addition to their squad.

Rashford expressed his excitement on Instagram, thanking both Manchester United and Aston Villa for making the deal happen. He shared that he had several options but chose Villa because he admired their playing style and the manager’s ambition. Rashford is eager to get started at Villa and also wished Manchester United the best for the rest of the season.

Meanwhile, Manchester United posted a message wishing Rashford good luck for the remainder of the campaign.

The deal is a loan for the season, but Villa has the option to make it permanent for a fee of £40 million. Aston Villa will cover 70% of Rashford’s wages, with the deal also including bonuses based on European progress and Champions League qualification next season.
