Go And Prostrate Before Tinubu – Federal Lawmaker Tells Aregbesola

Oluwole Oke, a lawmaker representing the Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency in Osun State, has called for reconciliation between former Governor Rauf Aregbesola and President Bola Tinubu. In a recent social media post, Oke, who belongs to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), suggested that if he were in Aregbesola’s position, he would go and beg, prostrate, and make peace with his former political leader, Tinubu.

The call for peace comes amidst rising political tensions in Osun State, where Aregbesola’s faction, the Omoluabi Progressives, recently announced their exit from the All Progressives Congress (APC) over ongoing conflicts. The division stems from a long-standing feud between Aregbesola and his successor, Adegboyega Oyetola, as well as reports of a fallout between Aregbesola and Tinubu.

In his post, Oke emphasized that if he were a member of the APC in Osun, he would work hard to reconcile Aregbesola with Oyetola. He also reminded people that “fighting doesn’t bring wealth,” encouraging unity among political leaders.

While acknowledging Aregbesola’s importance in Osun’s politics, Oke urged the PDP to act quickly and invite Aregbesola to join their ranks. He believes Aregbesola still has a strong political influence in the Ife/Ijesa Senatorial District and could gather significant support for any political party he joins.

Concluding his remarks, Oke predicted that Aregbesola would remain an influential figure in Osun politics, with his role continuing to shape the state’s political landscape in the years to come.
