Former Super Eagles captain, Sunday Oliseh, shared his thoughts on Manchester United’s recent 2-0 loss to Crystal Palace, expressing sympathy for manager Ruben Amorim.
After winning three matches in a row, United was shocked by Crystal Palace in front of their own fans. Jean-Philippe Mateta scored twice, once in the 64th minute and again in the 89th minute, securing the win for Palace.
This defeat marks United’s fourth loss in their last five home games. With this result, Amorim’s side is now in 13th place in the Premier League. Amorim has also had a tough start, losing eight of his first 19 games as United manager.
Oliseh reacted to the defeat on X (formerly Twitter), saying, “Come on, This must be classified as a crime the way Manchester United is defending!! 0-2 to Crystal Palace at home in this manner? Boy do I feel sorry for the poor impotent Amorim.”
Oliseh’s comments suggest that he believes United’s problems are more about the players’ performance than the manager’s tactics.
