Transfer: Aston Villa enquire over Rashford as Man Utd confirm deal for Giro

Aston Villa has shown interest in signing Marcus Rashford on loan from Manchester United. Reports from Sky Sports News suggest that Villa, managed by Unai Emery, are considering this move after recently selling striker Jhon Duran to Saudi club Al Nassr.

In addition to Rashford, Aston Villa is also looking at Paris Saint-Germain’s Marcos Asensio and Chelsea’s Joao Felix. Monchi, Aston Villa’s president of football operations, confirmed their interest in these players earlier this week, indicating the club is keen on strengthening their attacking options.

Despite Villa’s interest, Rashford’s first choice remains a move to Spanish giants Barcelona. However, Barcelona has yet to make any official arrangements to bring the England forward on loan, leaving his future uncertain for now.

In other news, Manchester United announced that midfielder Dan Gore will join League One side Rotherham United on loan for the rest of the season. This marks Gore’s second senior loan spell, having played for Port Vale in the same league last season. The 20-year-old made his debut for Manchester United’s first team in September 2023 during a Carabao Cup match against Crystal Palace.

Manchester United wished Gore the best for the rest of the campaign, hoping this move will provide him with valuable playing time and experience.

Stay tuned for more updates as the transfer window unfolds!
