Former Governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu, has called on members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to remain committed and loyal, assuring them that the party will make a strong comeback in 2027. Despite recent defections, he vowed to continue supporting the party and working towards its success.
Speaking at his country home in Umuobiakwa, Ikpeazu urged party members to stay united and not abandon the PDP during challenging times. He reminded them that the party had played a crucial role in his political career, and he remains fully dedicated to ensuring its revival.
He acknowledged the defections that followed PDP’s loss to the Labour Party in 2023 but encouraged members in Obingwa and beyond to stay focused. He assured them that those who remained with the party would benefit when the PDP regains power.
Ikpeazu expressed strong confidence in the new State Working Committee of the party, led by Abraham Amah. He described Amah as a capable leader who could steer the PDP back to victory in 2027.
The former governor assured PDP members that better days are ahead. He encouraged them to stay united, remain hopeful, and work hard to rebuild the party. According to him, PDP can return to power if members remain steadfast and committed.
With his words of encouragement, Ikpeazu is urging PDP supporters in Abia to believe in a brighter future for the party in 2027
