A suspected serial thief, Lamidi Amoto Lucky, has been arrested in Kogi State. The Kogi State Vigilante Service (KSVS) captured him in Inorere Ogaminana, Adavi Local Government Area, on January 27, 2025, around 4:00 AM.
Lucky was found with two Butterfly sewing machines, which raised suspicions that they were stolen. When questioned, he confessed to stealing them from Ihima in Okehi Local Government Area. Further investigation revealed that Lucky had also stolen several other items, including another sewing machine, two phones (Itel A60 and Oppo), a gasoline grinding engine, a gas cylinder, several yard wrappers, cooking pots, bed sheets, and shirts.
All the stolen goods were recovered by the KSVS operatives. Lucky, along with the stolen items, has been handed over to the Nigeria Police Force in Adavi for more investigation and legal action.
The Kogi State Vigilante Service is urging the public to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activities to local authorities to help keep their communities safe.
