The Super Eagles of Nigeria will face Tunisia, Uganda, and Tanzania in Group C at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). This was confirmed during the final draw ceremony held on January 27, 2025, at the Mohammed V National Theatre in Rabat, Morocco.
Nigeria, who have won the AFCON three times, earned their spot in the tournament by finishing at the top of their qualifying group with 11 points. In their six qualifying matches, the Super Eagles scored nine goals and conceded only three.
The 2025 AFCON tournament will take place from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026, and will feature 24 teams, divided into six groups:
- Group A: Morocco, Mali, Zambia, Comoros
- Group B: Egypt, South Africa, Angola, Zimbabwe
- Group C: Nigeria, Tunisia, Uganda, Tanzania
- Group D: Senegal, DR Congo, Benin, Botswana
- Group E: Algeria, Burkina Faso, Equatorial Guinea, Sudan
- Group F: Côte d’Ivoire, Cameroon, Gabon, Mozambique
The Super Eagles will be aiming for a strong performance as they prepare to battle it out with their group rivals in the upcoming tournament.
