In a chilling crime in Nairobi, Kenya, a 29-year-old man, John Kiama Wambua, has been arrested for allegedly killing and dismembering his 19-year-old wife, Joy Fridah Munani.

The shocking discovery happened on January 21, 2025, when police officers on patrol near Kelly Towers in Huruma stopped Wambua at around 5:00 am. He was carrying a suspiciously heavy bag. Upon inspection, officers found human body parts belonging to a young woman.

When questioned, Wambua confessed that the remains were those of his wife. He later led the police to his home, where more body parts were found hidden under his bed. The room was described as horrifying, with a bloody floor, a sharp knife suspected to have been used in the crime, and the victim’s clothes soaked in blood.

Police have noted that some body parts are still missing. The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has launched further investigations to recover the missing parts and understand the motive behind this horrific crime.

Wambua has been charged with murder and is set to appear in court. Detectives are continuing their work to ensure justice for the victim.
