Ex-APGA Chair, Njoku takes over NRM

Chief Edozie Njoku, the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), has officially become the new National Chairman of the National Rescue Mission (NRM).

Njoku’s move follows his departure from APGA, where he had been the leader. He was elected during an emergency national convention held in Abuja on Friday. This shift in leadership came after Amb. Isaac Chigozie Udeh resigned from his position as National Chairman of the NRM to assume the role of National Organising Secretary.

During the swearing-in ceremony in Abuja, Udeh explained that his decision to step down was made to prioritize the party’s success over personal ambitions. He emphasized that the welfare of the party is more important than individual interests and expressed his commitment to helping the party reach new heights.

Before joining NRM, Njoku had acknowledged the Supreme Court ruling that recognized Sylvester Ezeokenwa as the rightful National Chairman of APGA, accepting the judgment that favored the faction led by Victor Oye.

With this change in leadership, many are now looking to see how Njoku will steer the NRM towards greater success in upcoming elections.
