I Lost My Eyesight In 2020, Battled Chronic Kidney Disease – DJ Jimmy Jatt

Nigerian disk jockey, DJ Jimmy Jatt, has shared details of his tough health journey, which began during the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020. Speaking on Rubbin Minds, he recounted how he faced vision loss, battled chronic kidney disease, and eventually underwent a kidney transplant.

According to Jimmy Jatt, his health struggles started unexpectedly in 2020. He lost his eyesight in one eye and had to undergo surgery to regain his vision. While recovering, he also received a diagnosis of chronic kidney disease.

“I was stuck in Nigeria because of the lockdown,” he said. “I lost my sight and had to undergo surgery. Later, I was diagnosed with kidney disease, which required dialysis.”

In 2021, he relocated to the United States for treatment. There, he managed his kidney condition through regular dialysis sessions. However, by 2022, he decided to return to Nigeria for a kidney transplant, which marked a turning point in his recovery.

After his transplant, Jimmy Jatt focused on getting better and took time off to fully heal. Despite his challenges, he continued performing as a DJ, traveling and working across Europe and America. In December, he made the decision to return to Nigeria, ready to reconnect with his home and career.

Through it all, DJ Jimmy Jatt’s resilience and positive outlook helped him overcome significant health challenges. His story is a powerful reminder of the importance of perseverance and seeking proper medical care.
