Nollywood actor Yomi Fabiyi recently claimed that Adura Aloba, the late Mohbad’s brother, demanded N3 million from him for a video showing a fight between Mohbad and his wife, Cynthia, before his death.

Fabiyi explained that Adura initially contacted him via direct message on social media. Later, when Adura realized he might not get a response, he commented publicly, asking Fabiyi to check his messages. Adura then offered to sell a video of Mohbad and his wife fighting, claiming the altercation caused Mohbad to fall down the stairs and break his neck, which could explain the bent neck seen in his casket.

Fabiyi demanded proof of the video and was sent a three-second censored clip. In the video, he could hear a violent argument in the background.

Fabiyi also mentioned that he reported the incident to the Lagos State Police Criminal Investigation Department (CID) but later learned that someone may have been impersonating Mohbad’s brother. Fabiyi noted that the investigation into Mohbad’s death seemed disorganized during his visit to the police station.

Mohbad passed away in September 2023 under mysterious circumstances after leaving Naira Marley’s Marlian Music. His tragic death led to various conspiracy theories, with some blaming his wife, his former label boss, and an associate, Sam Larry, who was seen assaulting Mohbad in a viral video.

The case continues to spark widespread attention as people call for justice for the late singer.
