President Bola Tinubu has extended an invitation to Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), to visit Nigeria. The invitation was made during a meeting on the sidelines of the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2025. The UAE President has agreed to visit Nigeria later this year.
Tinubu, who arrived in Abu Dhabi as a guest of the UAE President, took part in the Sustainability Week—a global forum for discussing sustainable development and addressing global challenges. During his visit, he shared Nigeria’s stance on climate issues and congratulated the UAE for successfully hosting the event.
The discussions between the two leaders centered on strengthening economic relations. President Tinubu emphasized his government’s recent economic reforms, which have boosted Nigeria’s economy and attracted foreign investments, including large deals from international oil companies. The leaders also talked about the potential for increased cooperation between Nigeria and the UAE to promote further economic growth.
Tinubu expressed appreciation for the warm welcome he and his team received in Abu Dhabi and expressed hope for continued collaboration between the two nations.
