A woman, Ihsanatu Shaaibu, and her husband have been arrested in Nigeria for allegedly abusing his 5-year-old daughter, Fa’iza Bala. The arrest came after a video went viral on social media showing the child suffering from serious injuries due to the abuse.

The incident was confirmed by the Nigerian Police Force’s spokesperson, ACP Muyiwa Adejobi, who said the suspects were arrested on January 9th, 2025. He also stated that the couple would be prosecuted once the investigation is finished.

This case has raised concerns about child safety, especially in cases of abuse by family members. Authorities are urging the public to remain vigilant and report any signs of child abuse to protect vulnerable children.
