Speed Darlington’s lawyer, Stan Alieke, has stirred conversations by challenging Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy to take legal action against socialite Pascal Okechukwu, also known as Cubana Chief Priest. This challenge stems from claims made by Chief Priest about Burna Boy, similar to allegations that reportedly led to Speed Darlington’s arrest.
Chief Priest recently took to social media, mocking Burna Boy and accusing him of having an inappropriate relationship with American music executive Diddy to secure a Grammy award. These remarks echoed the controversial claims previously made by Speed Darlington, which Burna Boy allegedly deemed defamatory.
Reacting to this, Alieke questioned Burna Boy’s consistency. He argued that if Speed Darlington could face arrest for similar comments, Chief Priest should also face legal consequences.
In a statement posted on Instagram, Alieke said:
“Your petition claims that the Diddy and baby oil banter caused irreparable damage to your international reputation and cost you opportunities. Now, another person with more influence has said the same thing. If you don’t take action, it might be seen as cowardice.”
Alieke concluded by emphasizing his desire for justice and fairness, urging Burna Boy to demonstrate equal treatment.
The situation has sparked debates online, with many waiting to see Burna Boy’s next move. Will he respond to Chief Priest’s accusations in the same manner, or let it slide?
