During the Christmas holiday, the Nigeria Police Force arrested 22 criminals, including armed robbers, kidnappers, and cultists, who were targeting innocent people. The police were quick to respond to reports of criminal activity across several states, successfully making arrests and recovering dangerous weapons.
In Lagos, at 1 a.m. on Christmas Day, police officers received a distress call about a group of criminals with weapons in the Safejo area of Amukoko. The police arrived quickly and arrested three suspects: Emmanuel Okoli, Ogunde Tejiri, and Emmanuel Orji. They recovered the weapons the suspects were using to rob people.
Meanwhile, in Kaduna, police arrested Sule Muhammad around 8 p.m. on the same day. Muhammad, who had been involved in several kidnappings, was found with a homemade AK-47 rifle. He confessed to being part of a notorious kidnapping gang. Thanks to his cooperation, the police are now working to track down the other gang members.
The police also made arrests in other states, including Delta, Ogun, Katsina, Benue, FCT, and Imo, during the holiday period. The Inspector General of Police (IGP) praised the officers for their vigilance and hard work in keeping communities safe during the festive season.
