Pastor Adegboyega Tells Kemi Badenoch: ‘Nigerians Fought for You’

Pastor Tobi Adegboyega, the founder of SPAC Nation, has expressed his disagreement with recent comments made by Kemi Badenoch, the leader of the UK’s Conservative Party, about Nigeria. Badenoch shared her personal experience with the Nigerian police, claiming that officers had stolen her brother’s watch and shoes. Her remarks caused an uproar, with many Nigerians, including Vice President Kashim Shettima, criticizing her negative views on the country.

In an interview with Channels Television, Pastor Adegboyega addressed Badenoch’s statements, saying that life in Nigeria is not as bad as she painted it. He acknowledged that Nigeria does face its challenges, but emphasized that the situation in the UK is far from perfect. Pastor Adegboyega pointed out that in the UK, there are more young black people in prisons and mental hospitals than in schools, which reflects serious social issues within the country.

He also reminded the public that the Nigerian community in the UK has been instrumental in helping people like Kemi Badenoch achieve political success. According to Adegboyega, they have fought for her to reach such high positions and continue to work for the betterment of the future. He stated that while Nigeria has its problems, Kemi’s portrayal of the country was unfair and did not reflect the full picture.
