Police in Nasarawa State have apprehended a man, Sunday Bidemi, accused of stealing a lawyer’s car. Officers from the Masaka Division acted swiftly on a tip-off to recover the stolen vehicle.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Ramhan Nansel, confirmed that the vehicle, a Toyota Corolla with registration number ABJ 730 KE, was retrieved during the operation.
Investigations revealed that the suspect absconded with the car in October 2024. The car is owned by Barrister Wilson Egwun, a legal practitioner based in Wuse II, Abuja.
“Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect absconded with the said vehicle belonging to one Barr. Wilson Egwun of Wuse II, FCT Abuja, some time in the month of October 2024.” Nansel stated.
The Nasarawa State Commissioner of Police has instructed that the suspect be charged to court as soon as investigations are complete.
