In a troubling incident, gunmen abducted Dr. Donatus Nwasor, a medical doctor, from his private clinic in Utagba-Uno, Ndokwa West, Delta State. The event took place as the doctor was finishing his workday.
Reports say that Dr. Nwasor was preparing to leave around 8 p.m. when he received a phone call. As he stepped out of his car to answer the call, a group of about five men emerged from nearby bushes. They attacked him, forced him into his car, and drove off. The doctor’s nurse, who was present at the clinic, immediately raised the alarm after seeing the abduction.
One of the abductors accidentally left behind a sandal at the clinic. The doctor’s car was later found abandoned near Iselegu Junction, with all the doors wide open. The car was identified by local Anti-Cult personnel, who arrived at the scene shortly after 9 p.m.
Efforts to trace the abductors led to a nearby area, and the authorities have been working to locate Dr. Nwasor. His family has been informed, and the incident has been reported to the Nigeria Police Force, Kwale Division.
The community is on edge as authorities continue their search for the kidnappers. Local police and residents are hopeful that Dr. Nwasor will be found soon and that the criminals responsible for this crime will be brought to justice.
