Peter Obi Applauds NNPC for Revamping Port Harcourt & Kaduna Refineries

Peter Obi, a prominent Nigerian politician, has congratulated the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) for successfully revamping the Port Harcourt refinery. This revitalization, which brings the refinery back into operation, has a capacity to produce 60,000 barrels of crude oil per day. Around 200 trucks will be able to load products from the refinery daily, marking a significant step for Nigeria’s oil industry.

Obi also expressed optimism about the potential positive effects on the country’s economy, especially in terms of fuel prices and economic growth. He highlighted the news of the Kaduna refinery’s revival, which is expected to further boost productivity, improve transportation, and ease economic challenges for Nigerians.

However, while he praised these achievements, Obi stressed the need for greater transparency in NNPC’s operations. Nigerians, he said, deserve clear and accountable management of the country’s vital oil resources. The aim is for these revamping efforts to benefit everyone across the nation and contribute to long-term development.

A new Nigeria is possible, and with transparency and effective management, these improvements can pave the way for a brighter future for all Nigerians.
