The Abia State Police Command has taken swift action to improve security following a tragic attack that claimed the lives of soldiers in Umuokpara. The incident, which occurred on Wednesday, November 13, involved gunmen ambushing soldiers stationed at a military checkpoint. These soldiers were part of the joint task force known as Operation UDO KA, responsible for maintaining peace and combating crime in the region.
The attack, which sent shockwaves through the community, prompted the Abia State Commissioner of Police, CP Isa, to launch an operational patrol. This patrol was not only aimed at assessing the security situation but also at reassuring residents of the government’s commitment to their safety.
