On Thursday, November 14, 2024, two men were abducted by suspected terrorists in Yabo town, Sokoto State. The attack was confirmed by the spokesperson of the Sokoto State Police Command, ASP Ahmad Rufai.

The victims, Mallam Abubakar Umar Yabo and Malam Abba Muhammad, were taken from their separate homes by the assailants. The kidnapping took place in Yabo, which is the headquarters of Yabo Local Government Area in Sokoto.

This attack has raised concerns about the safety and security of residents in the area, and local authorities are continuing investigations to bring the perpetrators to justice.

“The bandits attempted to attack another resident when the owner of the house alerted the police whose intervention disrupted the initial plan of the kidnappers,” the PPRO stated.

“The two abducted persons left their homes open and the bandits after an exchange of fire with the police abducted the victims in their homes.”
