A 20-year-old woman from Bauchi State has been arrested by police for allegedly planning her father-in-law’s murder. She reportedly blamed him for her son’s death last year, accusing him of practicing witchcraft.
The victim’s body was found in a bush between Wuro Dangogo and Sarma village in Misau Local Government Area by police officers.
On Friday, the Commissioner of Police, Auwal Musa Muhammad, informed reporters at Police Headquarters on Yandoka Road that the deceased, Damina Lamba, was found dead with severe head injuries.
Police officers from Misau Divisional Headquarters, led by the divisional police officer, quickly responded and transported the body to General Hospital Misau. Medical staff there confirmed that Mr. Lamba had died from his injuries.
Police immediately launched an investigation to identify those responsible for the brutal attack.
