In a recent crackdown on crime, the Ogun State Police Force has arrested five suspects linked to a series of burglaries and thefts in Ijebu Ode and its neighboring areas. The suspects are identified as Emmanuel, 32, also known as Ozon, Samuel Sunday Idoko, 39, Tolulope Ilesanmi, 21, Sanusi Daniel, 29, and 20-year-old Ogunkoya Victor, who goes by the nickname Emo.
The police’s action came after several complaints from local victims who reported break-ins and thefts. According to Police Public Relations Officer Omolola Odutola, the suspects had been targeting shops and stealing armored cable wires from transformers in the area.
During police investigations, Emmanuel admitted to being part of the burglary syndicate. His confession was pivotal, as it led to the apprehension of the other four suspects.
