Karen Igho, who won Big Brother Africa in 2011, has revealed that she is currently homeless and living in a shelter. In a heartfelt video, Karen showed the inside of the homeless shelter where she is staying and asked Nigerians to support her through a GoFundMe account.
Karen shared her struggles following her separation from her husband, Yaroslav Rakos. She explained that they are in the process of getting a divorce and accused her husband of being abusive. She also claimed that he is trying to take their children away by making false claims about her mental health.
Earlier on the same day, Karen posted a message expressing gratitude to her husband for the good times they shared and mentioned that they were working towards peaceful co-parenting. She also shared that she is currently training to become a nurse and posted a video of herself in a nurse’s uniform. However, these posts were later deleted, leading to confusion and concern from her followers.

After deleting those posts, Karen returned to social media to share a new video from the homeless shelter and again asked for help.
Karen became famous after winning the Big Brother Africa reality show in 2011, making her the first Nigerian woman to win the competition.
