Singer Peter Okoye, popularly known as Peter of P-Square, has addressed critics over his continued use of the “P-Square” brand despite efforts to distance himself from the group.
The response followed a comment by an X (formerly Twitter) user who suggested that the singer should remove the “P-Square” name from his social media handles if he intends to fully separate his identity from the duo.
In a reply posted on X, Peter defended his decision, stating that he originated the “P-Square” name and therefore has the right to retain it.
He also revisited longstanding family disputes, alleging betrayal by his siblings. Peter dismissed claims that one of his brothers’ wives encouraged financial misconduct, asserting that none of them were married at the time the alleged incidents began.
The development comes amid an ongoing legal battle between Peter and his elder brother, Jude Okoye.
The case centers on allegations of financial mismanagement, with Peter accusing Jude—who previously served as manager of P-Square—of diverting group earnings through another company.
