Islamic cleric Sheikh Ahmad Gumi said the current hostilities involving Iran are aimed at the country’s Islamic Republic system, not its people.

In a Facebook post on Tuesday, Gumi emphasized that the conflict is not against Iranian citizens. He also stated that Persians would play an important role in supporting Islam in the future.

He warned against mocking the name of Allah, reminding people that ultimate authority belongs to God.

“They are fighting the Islamic Republic, not the Iranian people. In the end times, Persians will hold the flag of Islam, representing resistance to evil. So do not grieve, the end of evil is near. As for mocking Allah’s name, Allah the Almighty is already in charge,” Gumi wrote.

His comments came on the same day that US President Donald Trump issued a strong warning to Iran in a post on Truth Social.
