Former Migos rapper Offset has reportedly been shot during an incident at a Florida casino on Monday night.
Kiari Kendrell Cephus, also known as Offset, was shot near the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida.
Police said the shooting happened around 7 p.m. in the casino’s valet area.
Officers who were already nearby responded immediately and quickly contained the situation.
The Seminole Police Department confirmed that two people have been detained in connection with the incident, and investigations are ongoing.
Authorities assured the public that the situation is under control. In a statement, they said: “Seminole Police were on site immediately and contained the situation quickly. Two individuals have been detained. The investigation continues. The site is secure and there is no threat to the public. Operations continue as normal.”
Offset was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, where he is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
His representative confirmed that the rapper is “stable and receiving medical care while being closely monitored.”
Offset is best known as a member of the Atlanta rap group Migos, which included Quavo and Takeoff. The group split after Takeoff was shot and killed in Houston in 2022.
The rapper was married to Cardi B from 2017 to 2022, and the couple share three children.
