The head coach of Remo Stars, Usman Abdallah, has shared his happiness after his team defeated Shooting Stars in a local derby match.
The match ended 1-0 in favour of Remo Stars at their home ground in Ikenne on Sunday.
The only goal of the game came in the second half, scored by Samuel Anakwe, which secured all three points for the team.
Abdallah admitted that the game was not easy and required a lot of effort from his players.
He said the most important thing was getting the win, especially against a strong opponent like Shooting Stars.
The coach also explained that he had already warned his players to expect a difficult and intense match.
According to him, the team’s main goal was to secure maximum points, and he is pleased they achieved that, though the season is still ongoing.
Despite the victory, Remo Stars are still in the relegation zone, meaning they need more wins to improve their position on the table.
