Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State has encouraged Nigerians not to lose hope, saying the current hardships people are facing will not last and will eventually lead to something good.
In his Easter message to Christians, Fintiri advised people to use the season to think about the suffering and resurrection of Jesus Christ. He explained that Easter reminds everyone that no matter how difficult things are, suffering will surely come to an end.
He also said Easter is a time for sacrifice, just like Jesus gave His life for humanity. According to him, Jesus died to bring healing and peace, not pain or destruction, and people should remember this during the season.
Through a statement shared by his aide, the governor prayed for unity among citizens. He said working together in peace will help build Adamawa into a state that everyone can be proud of.
Fintiri further encouraged Christians to show love during Easter by helping those in need. He said this act of kindness reflects the love Jesus showed on the cross.
He also advised people to put their faith into action, explaining that true religion should be seen in how people live, treat others, and work together.
Finally, while wishing Christians a happy Easter, the governor said people should stand out through good deeds that positively impact others. He prayed that the season brings blessings, peace, and happiness to everyone.
