The Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Championship match between Sunshine Queens and Ahudianynem Queens was stopped because of bad weather at Akure Township Stadium. The match, which was part of matchday 13, will now continue on Friday morning.

The game was halted very early, just in the seventh minute, due to the harsh weather conditions. Before it was stopped, no goal had been scored by either team.

Reports say the match will resume by 8 a.m. on Friday, and the remaining minutes will be played to complete the game.

Both teams are currently struggling to avoid relegation in the league. Sunshine Queens sit in ninth position, while Ahudianynem Queens are in eighth place on the Group B table.
