Israel’s Defense Minister, Israel Katz, has issued a strong warning to Hezbollah’s leader, Naim Qassem, following an increase in rocket attacks on Israeli communities.
In a video message on Thursday, Katz said Qassem and his allies would face serious consequences for the attacks, which happened as many Israelis gathered to celebrate Passover. He accused Hezbollah of targeting civilians during an important religious period.
Katz also mentioned several former leaders, including Hassan Nasrallah, Ali Khamenei, and Yahya Sinwar, saying they had all faced deadly outcomes in the ongoing conflict. He warned that similar consequences could follow if the attacks continue.
The warning came after Hezbollah claimed responsibility for launching rockets into northern Israel late Wednesday and early Thursday. The group said the attacks were part of its ongoing response to recent events in the region.
Katz added that Israeli forces are determined to push Hezbollah fighters away from southern Lebanon, maintain control in key areas, and weaken the group’s military strength across the country.
