The Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has directed all public office holders in the state to declare their assets without delay.

He said compliance with asset declaration is a basic requirement for anyone in public office in Nigeria.

Governor Otti emphasized that both he and his deputy declared their assets before assuming office.

He made this known while meeting officials of the Code of Conduct Bureau South-East zone.

He instructed state officials to ensure full compliance and proper monitoring of all public officers.

The CCB also urged the governor to support efforts in educating officials about asset declaration rules.
