The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has reacted to the reported move of Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso to the African Democratic Congress, describing it as overhyped.
The party said the defection is driven more by personal ambition than national interest.
In a statement, the APC spokesperson, Seye Oladejo, questioned attempts to present the move as a major political shift.
He argued that Kwankwaso’s decision is linked to his long-standing political ambition for top positions.
The party also claimed that his influence has reduced, pointing to internal challenges within his political base.
APC concluded that political actions should focus on national development rather than personal gain.
